Getting the SAM Linux .iso File

1. Open your web browser and go to www.sam-linux.org
2. Click on the "downloads" link on the top bar.
3. Select on of the mirrors, or if you prefer you can select to download it as a torrent. NOTE: For the torrent file you will need a separate torrent program to download the file. (Opera can handle it too)
4. Download the file "SAM-2007.iso". It should take about 15-20 minutes on a high-speed internet connection, but if you are on dial-up you might want to leave it overnight, as the file is 699 MB.
5. Also download SAM-2007.iso.md5. This contains a "checksum" which will allow you to verify that the .iso is not corrupted.
6. To check downloaded .iso file open a terminal, "cd" to the folder containing the "SAM-2007.iso", then type "md5sum SAM-2007.iso". After calculating the md5sum verify it with the md5sum contained in the file "SAM-2007.iso.md5sum" (open this file with a text editor).
